Meet Our Team
Michelle Radice
Founder & Executive DirectorA mother of three and a project manager by trade, Michelle spent years watching school safety stall in committee rooms and political arguments — and decided to stop waiting.
She knows the bottleneck isn’t will. Every administrator she’s sat across from cares deeply about their students. The bottleneck is funding — and the infrastructure to go get it.
When her oldest started kindergarten, the mission became personal and non-negotiable. She built SAS to bypass the argument and build what can change right now.
Her foundational belief: every child deserves to come home safe.
Program Management
Infrastructure and implementation expertise across complex organizations.
School Safety Intelligence
Direct relationships with superintendents, principals, SROs, and law enforcement across Texas.
Proven Track Record
In 2025 connected cameras to PD. Model proven.
Bethany Blackburn
Director of Events & Community EngagementAs the Director of Events & Community Engagement for Safe American Schools, Bethany has the opportunity to organize fundraising events and connect with the community in support of the organization's mission of creating safer schools for students and educators. While she doesn't come from a professional event planning background, Bethany has spent years coordinating events through her school PTO and volunteering in her community. Those experiences taught her the value of bringing people together for a common purpose and the impact a well-planned event can have.
Bethany chose to become involved with Safe American Schools because, as a parent, she believes every child deserves to learn in a safe and secure environment. She wanted to be part of an organization that is making a meaningful difference in protecting schools and supporting the people who dedicate their lives to educating children. It is incredibly rewarding for her to know that the events she helps coordinate and the community she's helping build contribute to providing resources, education, and support that help make schools safer for future generations.
